Is TaxAct Xpert help free?

TaxAct Xpert Help can be added to any of TaxAct’s products, including TaxAct Free, which now supports reporting unemployment income at no charge. TaxAct’s team of CPAs and EAs are also available to answer state-specific tax questions to help filers accurately file their state returns.

How do I get my tax return from TaxAct?

  1. Sign in to your TaxAct Online return.
  2. Click the My Return button in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Print Center, then click the Return tab (or one of the other tabs, depending on what you want to print)
  4. Enter the number of Federal and/or State return copies you would like to print or save.

How do I unlock my TaxAct account?

If you enter an incorrect combination of username and password a certain number of times, you will be given the opportunity to reset your password to gain access to your account. As part of the password reset process, you will be asked to answer one of your security questions.

How do I get my last year’s tax return from TaxAct?

Accessing and Downloading Prior Year Returns

  1. Sign in to the TaxAct account used to prepare the return.
  2. Click the My Taxes tile.
  3. Click the year you wish to download to expand the menu and see your return(s).
  4. Choose your return (to save your return on your computer, click Download).

How do I get my 1040 form from TaxAct?

From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click on the Federal tab. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal. Click Miscellaneous Topics to expand that section and then click Use Federal Form 1040 instead of Federal Form 1040A.

If you’ve successfully updated your password and are still having difficulty logging in, check that the caps lock or numbers lock is on or off appropriately. You can also check your auto-fill or auto-complete settings, password management settings, or security software interference.
